First, getting microblading done for your eyes prior to nine months of your delivery should be avoided as nothing is as valuable as your unborn baby.Also, you can always use eyebrows pencils and other makeup tricks to make your eyebrows look fuller as they might look after microblading.


Secondly, if you are too dedicated to getting your eyebrows microbladed while you are planning to conceive or are pregnant then always make sure to spend some extra bucks to hire an expert who has apt experience in this field.Look for studios or salons with a good reputation in the market and are know their work. They won't jeopardize with sterilization and cleanliness at any cost.

Pigments And Pregnancy

As mentioned above that microblading involves implanting of pigments. Also, during pregnancy a women's body undergoes a lot of changes where the blood volume increases too drastically. This is paired with hormonal changes as well.

Now, there are decent chances that the pigments used while microblading may not respond well with such changes going on in your body. It may not settle into your skin in the very first place.

Secondly, during pregnancy a woman's skin undergoes discoloration. This facial discoloration can have a direct effect on the color you have chosen for the microblading process.

This discoloration is due to melasma, which about 70-80% of the pregnant ladies have, thus increasing the risk.

Thirdly, during pregnancy, the facial tissues of all the women, often stretch and shrink. This happens due to the increased level of water retention and swelling. Thus, if you wait just for nine months, and then have microblading done then there would be no risk of distortion of the shape of your eyebrows or discoloration of the pigment you choose for microblading.

Some Pigments Might Not Be Safe For Your Baby

Many experts all around the world have suggested the fact that women should not get their eyebrows microbladed during pregnancy as they can bleed more while the procedure is going on. This may have an adverse effect on your body.

Secondly, some aestheticians make use of anesthetic which contains a substance named- epinephrine. This substance may have a harmful effect on the fetus. Some of the fetal effects of epinephrine include- cardiac anomalies, extrasystoles, the increment in heart rate etc.

Everybody responds differently during pregnancy and you never know which of those harmful effects can harm your unborn baby. So, it is recommended to wait for 9 months to pass.

Thirdly, the pigment which is used during the procedure of microblading contains some substances which might pose some effects on the human body during pregnancy.

So, it is a risk which is not worthy to take. Even if natural pigments are used, oxides of iron and nickel are its main constituents.

Though they have no to minimal effect on the developed human body, but with foetus where the body is at its early stage of development, it can pose a threat.
